Lorry driver killed, three injured in accident at Yio Chu Kang Road junction
A lorry driver, 58, was found lying motionless at the scene and was later pronounced dead by a paramedic.
SINGAPORE — An accident on Tuesday evening (April 21) at Yio Chu Kang Road involving a lorry, taxi and a car left a 58-year old man dead and three others injured, the police said on Wednesday.
“On April 21 at 9.07pm, the police were alerted to an accident involving a lorry, a taxi and a car at the junction of Philips Avenue, Yio Chu Kang Road and Serangoon North Avenue 1,” they said.
The lorry driver was found lying motionless at the scene and was later pronounced dead by a paramedic.
The three injured were a 50-year-old woman who was a passenger in the lorry, a 56-year-old taxi driver and his 57-year-old female passenger. They were conscious when taken to Tan Tock Seng Hospital.
Police investigations are ongoing.
