Multi-vehicle accident along Woodlands Ave 12 on Thursday morning; 3 sent to hospital

SINGAPORE — Three people were sent to Khoo Teck Puat Hospital on Thursday morning (April 21) after a multi-vehicle accident along Woodlands Avenue 12 towards the Seletar Expressway (SLE).

Police said it was alerted to the accident at around 6.49am. Upon arrival it was established that two cars, two lorries and a bus was involved, said the police. Eyewitness photos showed an overturned lorry, while a car was also seen across the road divider.

Mediacorp hotline caller Mr Lin said that a "massive" jam had resulted from the accident. Facebook user Moses Lim, posting on the Singapore Taxi Driver group, added that that one lane towards the SLE was closed, while two lanes towards Woodlands Ave 10 were also closed.

Facebook user Erda Waty posted a photo about an accident at Woodlands Avenue 12 at 7.33am, calling on users to avoid the road. Traffic police and an SCDF ambulance could be seen on site in her photo.

Another Facebook user Chelseas Rodrigues also posted about an accident along the same street at 7.18am.

Police investigations into the accident are ongoing.
