SINGAPORE — Residents in the Tanjong Pagar area will now enjoy better connectivity with new trunk bus service 122, which begins operation today (Mar 15).
The new bus service is a result of residents’ requests for better transport access from Dawson Road and Strathmore Avenue to Tiong Bahru and Chinatown.
Bus service 122 covers Outram Road, Tiong Bahru Road, Lower Delta Road, Alexandra Road, Tanglin Road, Kay Siang Road, Margaret Drive, Queensway, Commonwealth Drive and Commonwealth Avenue.
It will also connect residents to Outram Park, Tiong Bahru and Commonwealth MRT stations, as well as New Bridge Road Bus Terminal. Schools like Gan Eng Seng Secondary, Queenstown Primary, Crescent Girls’ and Alexandra Primary will also benefit.
The new bus service was officially launched this morning by Senior Minister of State for Law and Education Indranee Rajah, who is also MP for Tanjong Pagar GRC. This is the second new bus service in the Tanjong Pagar area, under the government’s Bus Service Enhancement Programme (BSEP). CHANNEL NEWSASIA
