A screen grab of a video circulated on social media, which showed the leg of a 31-year-old man who was pronounced dead at the scene at Block 37 Margaret Drive on March 7, 2022.
SINGAPORE — A 31-year-old man was found dead at a residential block in Queenstown last Friday (March 4) afternoon, and the police do not suspect foul play based on preliminary investigations.
The police said this on Monday in response to media queries about a video of a dismembered leg, which has been making the rounds on social media.
Officers were alerted at 12.35pm last Friday to the case of “unnatural death'' at Block 37 Margaret Drive, a block within the Housing and Development Board’s SkyResidence @ Dawson estate, said a spokesperson.
“A 31-year-old man was found motionless and pronounced dead at (the) scene by an SCDF paramedic. Based on preliminary investigations, the police do not suspect foul play,” said the police.
Police investigations are ongoing.
Over the weekend, a video of a severed leg found near the garbage disposal area at the foot of a building made the rounds on social media and online forums. Some of the posts were taken down, though copies of the footage have emerged online.
