SINGAPORE — All of the 86 Covid-19 cases linked to the North Coast Lodge migrant worker dormitory had either mild or no symptoms, the Ministry of Manpower (MOM) said on Wednesday (Aug 25).

In response to TODAY’s queries, it said that one of the cases — who is a co-worker with a resident — was not fully vaccinated, having received only one dose of a Covid-19 vaccine.

MOM added that all of the infected workers have since been moved to a healthcare facility for further treatment.

Their close contacts have been isolated and safety time-out notices have been issued by the Building and Construction Authority to worksites where the infected workers had been deployed.

The cluster at the dormitory located in Woodlands was first announced on Monday and the Ministry of Health (MOH) reported that there were 86 cases in its update on Tuesday.

Testing operations there have been completed and all the results have come back, though it did not mention what the results were.

As of Tuesday, more than 5,300 residents at the dormitory had been swabbed.

All residents will be tested frequently over the next few weeks, MOH added.
