PPAP singer to come to Singapore

SINGAPORE — The man who made stationery and fruit popular will be making an appearance in Singapore.
Japanese comedian Daimaou Kosaka, known better to fans as Pikotaro, will be here as part of the Anime Festival Asia (AFA), to be held from Nov 25 to 27, said Japanese entertainment channel WakuWaku Japan on its Facebook page on Tuesday (Nov 15).
Pikotaro is most well-known for his song PPAP, or Pen-Pineapple-Apple-Pen, which has gone viral since its debut in August this year, with its catchy tune and dance moves.
The song, which lasts 45 seconds, also peaked on the Japan Billboard Hot 100 chart, making it the shortest song in Billboard’s charting history.
