Singapore’s non-oil exports spike in April
Singapore's non-oil domestic exports (Nodx) grew by 11.8 per cent in April.
SINGAPORE ― The Republic’s non-oil domestic exports (Nodx) grew by 11.8 per cent in April, after a 3.2 per cent decline in the previous month.
The growth was due to an increase in non-electronic exports which outweighed the decrease in electronics, said Enterprise Singapore on Thursday (May 17).
Non-oil exports to the majority of the Republic’s top markets grew in April, with the exception of Taiwan, South Korea, Malaysia and Hong Kong.
Nodx growth was led by China, the European Union and the United States.
Meanwhile, non-oil re-exports grew by 8.2 per cent in April, after a 0.4 per cent decline in March.
Total trade rose over the year in April, supported by both export and import growth.
