Singtel secures BPL broadcasting rights for another 3 seasons

SINGAPORE — Singtel has once again secured the broadcast rights for all Barclays Premier League (BPL) matches, announced the company today (Nov 10).
The new deal will start in August next year and will last for another three seasons, said the company
“We are delighted to bring the Barclays Premier League to Singaporeans for another three seasons,” said Singtel Consumer Singapore CEO Yuen Kuan Moon. “Singtel TV fans can be assured that their football experience stays uninterrupted at rates that remain affordable.”
Singtel first beat Starhub to broadcast BPL games from the 2010/2011 season. Besides BPL games, SingTel also shows matches in the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League, FA Cup, Capital One Cup, Italian Serie A and more.
Premier League Executive Chairman, Richard Scudamore, said: “We are very pleased that Singtel has again chosen to invest in Premier League broadcasting rights in Singapore. Singtel currently provides excellent coverage of the Barclays Premier League to fans across the country and we look forward to working with them for another three seasons.”
