Spa at Holland Drive, eateries and malls across S’pore among places visited by Covid-19 cases while infectious
Among the places visited by Covid-19 cases while infectious was Vivocity mall at 1 HarbourFront Walk on April 25 between 12.25 pm and 2.05pm.
SINGAPORE — A spa at Holland Drive as well eateries and malls across Singapore were among a list of 13 public places that had been visited by Covid-19 cases during their infectious period.
In its evening update on the coronavirus situation in Singapore, the Ministry of Health (MOH) said on Saturday (May 1) that the infectious persons had visited:
- NTUC Fairprice at Rivervale Mall (11 Rivervale Crescent) on April 28 between 11.45am and 1.40pm
- The Big Cheese at Sunshine Plaza (91 Bencoolen Street) on April 27 between 7.30pm and 8.30pm
- McDonald’s at Compass One (1 Sengkang Square) on April 27 between 4.20pm and 5.25pm
- Tracy Juice Culture at Fortune Centre (190 Middle Road) on April 27 between 12.15pm and 1.15pm
- Spa 9 (41 Holland Drive) on April 27 between 10.30am and 7.45pm and on April 26 between 10.30am and 2.30 pm
- 100AM mall (100 Tras Street) on April 26 between 12.15 pm and 1.10pm
- Tampines 1 mall (10 Tampines Central 1) on April 25 between 3.30pm and 4pm
- Takashimaya department store (391A Orchard Road) on April 25 between 4.45pm and 5.30pm
- Vivocity mall (1 HarbourFront Walk) on April 25 between 12.25 pm and 2.05pm
- Swensens at Tampines Mall (4 Tampines Central 5) on April 25 between 1.50pm and 3.20pm
- Singapore Post at ION Orchard (2 Orchard Turn) on April 25 between 2.05pm and 2.55pm
- Shunji Matsuo Hair Studio at Ngee Ann City (391 Orchard Road) on April 25 between 3pm and 4.40pm
- Dough at Chijmes (30 Victoria Street) on April 21 between 11 am and 1pm
MOH said that it would have already notified individuals who were identified as close contacts of the confirmed cases.
"As a precautionary measure, persons who had been at these locations during the specified timings should monitor their health closely for 14 days from their date of visit," it added.
"They should see a doctor promptly if they develop symptoms of acute respiratory infection (such as cough, sore throat and runny nose), as well as fever and loss of taste or smell, and inform the doctor of their exposure history."
Individuals may access the SafeEntry Location Matching Self-Check service via the TraceTogether mobile application, SingPass app, or at https://wereyouthere.safeentry.gov.sg to check whether they were at these locations during the specified timings, based on their own SafeEntry records.
Members of the public do not need to avoid places where confirmed cases of Covid-19 have been, MOH said.
The National Environment Agency will engage the management of the affected premises to provide guidance on cleaning and disinfection.
On Saturday, MOH reported 34 new cases of Covid-19 in Singapore, nine of which were local transmissions. The remaining 25 were imported.
One of the cases in the community was a 22 year-old female Malaysia national who works as a spa therapist at Spa 9 at 41 Holland Drive.
