Three arrested in anti-vice raid at Jurong West HDB flat

SINGAPORE — Three women, aged between 37 and 42, were arrested during an anti-vice raid in the vicinity of Jurong West St 65, said the police on Friday (June 23).
TODAY understands that the raid had taken place on Wednesday at a Housing Development Board (HDB) flat. Preliminary investigations revealed that the three women, who are Chinese nationals, were advertising their sexual services on various online platforms.
The suspects also allegedly made use of their stay in Singapore on valid social visit passes to commit vice-related offences, said the police.
During the operation, condoms and lubricants were seized as case exhibits. Investigations are ongoing.
Police warned that any house owners who rent their premises to any person for vice-related activities may be prosecuted.
If convicted for the first time, they face a jail term of up to three years and/or a fine of up to S$3,000.
In the case of a second or subsequent conviction, they may go to jail for up to five years and/or fined up to S$10,000.
