Three men hurt after car overturns in accident at Tanah Merah

SINGAPORE – Three men were injured when the car they were travelling in overturned during an accident with a lorry near the Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal on Saturday (Dec 30) morning.
The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said they were alerted to the accident at Tanah Merah Coast Road at about 7.25am.
TODAY understands that the men were conscious when they were taken to Changi General Hospital.
One of the men was said to have suffered head injuries, while the other two suffered cuts and lacerations.
Photos on social media showed the car overturned in the middle of the junction of Tanah Merah Coast Road towards the ferry terminal, with its bumper located a distance away.
Its doors and windshield were also badly damaged.
The Singapore Police Force said they were alerted to the accident involving two cars and a lorry along Tanah Merah Ferry Road at 7.44am.
"A male driver and two male passengers aged between 23 and 25 were conscious when taken to Changi General Hospital", said the police.
TODAY understands that the men were from the car which had overturned following the accident.
Police investigations are ongoing.
