Two-hour LRT service disruption between Choa Chua Kang and Senja

SINGAPORE — Train service along the Bukit Panjang LRT line was disrupted between Choa Chua Kang and Senja in both directions today (Feb 24). The disruption is due to a power fault, and service resumed at 1.35pm, SMRT said.
In a Facebook post at 1.27pm, the transport operator said: “Dear commuters, train services at the Bukit Panjang LRT will resume in about 20 minutes. The system was down temporarily due to a train fault. The free bus services and bus bridging services will continue to operate. We apologise for the inconvenience caused.”
It then tweeted an update at 1.35pm saying: “Train services at Bukit Panjang LRT have resumed. Free bus services and bus bridging services will continue to be in operation.”
SMRT had earlier said at 12.20pm that there is no train services between Choa Chu Kang and Keat Hong, and free public and shuttle buses are available at all BPLRT stations.
SMRT later said on Twitter at 1.16pm that there is no train service between Choa Chua Kang and Senja in both directions.
Affected commuters had commented on SMRT’s Facebook page that they have been stuck in the LRT since 11.35am. A video on Twitter also showed a LRT train stuck at Choa Chu Kang station. CHANNEL NEWSASIA
