March 8 : India beat New Zealand by 96 runs in the final at the Narendra Modi Stadium on Sunday to become the first team to retain the men's Twenty20 World Cup title.

Put into bat, India posted a commanding total of 255-5 and restricted their opponents to 159 in 19 overs.
