Overstimulating or cute? Inside a couple's toy-store themed home
Ms Jean Kuah and Mr Aiden Liow turned their four-room flat into a playful, immersive world of colour and toys, reflecting their shared love for all things cute and cheerful.
What started as a collection that began in childhood evolved into a way of life. The couple’s toy trove includes both Ms Kuah’s own Mochi Buddies creations and favourites like Hello Kitty.
Each room has a purpose: the living room serves as a toy showcase, one bedroom for rest, another converted into a home office, and the third set aside as a dedicated "creation room" for Ms Kuah.
From painting murals to designing their own gate, the couple brought their vision to life with do-it-yourself projects. “It was a labour of love, but it made the space truly personal and uniquely ours,” says Ms Kuah.
TikTok is split: some call it joyful, others overstimulating. But the couple aren’t fazed.
