400 migrant workers with unpaid wages to get S$200 in cash, grocery vouchers
Singapore's labour movement is extending support for around 400 migrant workers who have been left with unpaid wages. The National Trades Union Congress will help them find new jobs in construction, after a group of them sought help from the Ministry of Manpower. They will also be provided with hardship allowances and grocery vouchers in the interim. MOM and NTUC are also trying to recover their salaries from the errant employers.
