600 more spots to be added to programme that helps preschoolers with developmental needs
Some 600 more spots will be added to a preschool programme aimed at helping children with developmental needs. A study based on the Inclusive Support Programme pilot has found that the children involved have begun to catch up to their peers in areas such as language and daily skills. Under the programme, early intervention educators observe such preschoolers and suggest ways to support their needs. The expansion was announced at the annual Early Childhood Celebrations and Conference, where new tools for educators were also launched. Chloe Teo reports.
