8,000 vaping-related offences in Singapore in 2023, up 43% from the year before
Authorities in Singapore are looking to curb the spread of vaping from taking root in a generation. Last year, there were about 8,000 vaping-related offences recorded -- an increase of close to 43% from the 5,600 in 2022. Most of these were for the purchase, use and possession of vapes, which carries a fine of up to $2,000. The Health Ministry has said it is taking a multi-agency approach to tackle the issue.
