AI skills to be mandatory for Singapore higher education students from 2027

All students enrolling in Singapore’s Institutes of Higher Learning from 2027 will take compulsory classes on AI skills, as part of a nationwide effort to prepare graduates for the workforce. Education Minister Desmond Lee says students will learn how to use AI responsibly and ethically, while domain-specific AI modules will also be offered to adult learners.
