Air travellers will soon have to pay a levy of between one dollar and almost 42 dollars, for flights heading out of Singapore, from next year. The Sustainable Aviation Fuel levy, or SAF levy will apply to tickets bought from April onwards, for flights departing Singapore from October. Levies will also apply for cargo shipments. The money collected will go into a fund to buy sustainable aviation fuel. Eugene Chow reports.
