Alvin Tan on Johor Bahru-Singapore RTS Link and heartland enterprises

In Parliament on Wednesday (Jan 8), Minister of State for Trade and Industry Alvin Tan answered MPs’ questions regarding the Johor Bahru-Singapore Rapid Transit System (RTS) Link and the concerns of heartland businesses. In his reply, Mr Tan said that there are already existing plans in place to support neighbourhood centres, such as upgrading works made to five neighbourhoods in Woodlands under the Housing and Development Board's Remaking Our Heartland programme. He also encouraged heartland enterprises to make use of the different schemes as well as grants, such as the Heartland Enterprise Placemaking Grant, to increase their marketing ability and competitiveness.
