Amy Khor on supporting taxi and private-hire drivers
The Government currently has no plans to provide additional support for the point-to-point (P2P) transport sector to defray higher fuel costs, said Senior Minister of State for Transport Amy Khor. Responding to a Parliamentary question on Tuesday (Jan 11), she highlighted previous support measures to help the sector tide over and added that P2P ridership has "steadily recovered" to about 80 per cent of pre-COVID-19 levels in December 2021. Dr Khor also pointed out that the Government does not regulate fare structures in the P2P sector.
