ASEAN economic ministers wrap up week-long gathering focused on trade

Economic ministers from Southeast Asian nations have wrapped up a week-long series of meetings in Kuala Lumpur, ahead of the annual ASEAN summit next month. Consultations with trade officials from India, Canada, Russia and Hong Kong rounded off the week of meetings, which saw progress made on key trade agreements and digital initiatives. The bloc is seeking to deepen, diversify and stabilise internal and external economic ties, in the face of more US tariffs and larger geopolitical uncertainties. Melissa Goh reports from Kuala Lumpur.
