Bloc chair and Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim warned that global trade is being weaponised, urging member nations to strengthen intra-ASEAN trade. The three-day meeting also includes talks with major trade partners including the US and China, with PM Anwar preparing for tariff discussions with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio.
