Chinese President Xi meets Taiwan's opposition leader Cheng in Beijing
Chinese President Xi Jinping and Taiwan's main opposition leader Cheng Li-wun have affirmed the need to maintain peace across the Taiwan Strait. The pair held talks in a rare meeting in Beijing. Ms Cheng is in China on a six-day visit, for what she calls a "peace mission", at a time when Beijing is ramping up pressure on the self-ruled island it claims as its territory. Krystal Chia reports.
