Australia warns about rising threat of state-backed Chinese hackers

Tensions simmering between Australia and China, despite a recent thaw in relations. Beijing has criticised a new report released by Canberra, which accused a state-backed Chinese hacker group of conducting malicious cyber operations for China. The APT40 hacking group was singled out for stealing passwords and usernames from two unnamed Australian networks in 2022.
