Bangladesh seeks extradition of ex-PM Hasina from India amid US$5b embezzlement probe

Bangladesh is formally seeking the extradition of former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. The ousted leader has been living in exile in India after fleeing student-led protests in August. The foreign ministry said Hasina can be brought back under an existing extradition treaty between Dhaka and New Delhi.
