Bangladesh unrest: Tens of thousands attend funeral of killed youth leader
Tens of thousands of mourners gathered in Bangladesh's capital to lay to rest prominent youth leader Sharif Osman Hadi. Mr Hadi's body was flown in from Singapore on Dec 19 night and buried at the central mosque of Dhaka University. The interim administration also observed a day of state mourning. Police and paramilitary forces were deployed near the funeral over fears of more violence, following two days of protests over his killing.
