Bangladesh votes: PM-designate acknowledges need to address fragile economy, weakened institutions

The presumptive prime minister designate of Bangladesh has called for unity after his party's landslide win in the general election. Tarique Rahman spoke for the first time since the Election Commission confirmed their victory. He acknowledged the country's fragile economy and weakened institutions, but said adhering to the will of the people promises that parliament and government will be held to account. Mr Tarique and his government are set to be sworn in next week. Afifah Ariffin reports from Dhaka.
