Singapore in the early 60s - 70s was an island strife with lawlessness. From this climate of crime and violence emerged the Wahab-Hassan Brothers. Abdul Wahab bin Hassan and Mustapha bin Hassan once topped Singapore’s most wanted list in 1972.
Part One: Singapore’s reputation as the Chicago of the East in the 70s. Detective Davy Chan recounts his stand-off with Mustapha where a bullet pierced his neck. The infamous Labrador shoot-out had Mustapha injured and eventually arrested. With Mustapha in police custody and recuperating in Outram Hospital, older brother Wahab plans a daring rescue.
Part Two: Wahab and gang pull off a successful attempt to free Mustapha. Police Constable Chow, key witness and hostage of the raid recounts the trauma and near-death experience with the brothers. The brothers’ final moments are pieced together and told from the perspectives of a former SWAT force team member who was at the scene, a journalist running the crime beat and an ex-schoolmate of Mustapha.
