As Singapore pursues a stronger digital innovation-driven economy, the end objective has to be about improving the quality of life and creating better opportunities for all, said MP Derrick Goh. Speaking in Parliament on Wednesday (Feb 24), he said the Government must "stay ahead of the curve" by putting in safeguards to protect digitally vulnerable groups. It must redouble efforts to help citizens strengthen their digital muscles, as well as address the surge in scams. He called for a multi-layered and whole-of-nation approach, ranging from community education to enforcement.
