Budget 2022 debate: Janet Ang on Government support for businesses
Budget 2022 has taken an integral development approach to ensure that Singapore's people, environment and economy progress in "tandem and harmony". However, whether Budget 2022 delivers on its design depends on how well it is executed, said NMP Janet Ang. Speaking in Parliament on Monday (Feb 28), she raised concerns for local businesses in four areas - managing manpower availability and costs; growing the capital, credit, talent and network of SMEs; helping businesses go green; as well as investing in Singaporeans for the future. "We must take responsibility for the development of our own skills, leveraging the support that the Government is providing," she said.
