Budget 2022 debate: Tin Pei Ling on tackling cost of living, plans for national reserves

She said Singaporeans must continue to feel assured that they will get assistance to cope with ongoing uncertainty about rising costs. Saying she supported the draw on Singapore’s reserves to battle the COVID-19 crisis, Ms Tin nonetheless asked about the Government’s plans to replenish them. She wanted to know under what circumstances the money will be returned and whether there is a timeline for doing so.
