In his Budget 2022 speech on Friday (Feb 18), Finance Minister Lawrence Wong said Singapore must renew and strengthen its social compact for a post-pandemic world. He announced that GST will go up in two phases from 2023 and that there would be higher taxes for top earners. The carbon tax will also go up progressively from 2024.
