Budget 2023 debate: He Ting Ru on meaningful progress as individuals, families and society

Recovery from COVID-19 has not been equal for all of us, said MP He Ting Ru. Speaking in Parliament on Thursday (Feb 23), she stressed the need to work together and have policies that holistically ensure the well-being of the economy, society and planet. She highlighted the need to urgently address the issue of the mental well-being of Singaporeans, pointing out the stresses and isolation that various groups, such as children, parents and seniors, are grappling with. She hopes to see meaningful progress from this year's Budget in enabling Singaporeans to better navigate the challenges as individuals, families, society and "citizens of the blue planet that we call home".
