In his parliamentary speech on Wednesday (Feb 26), MP Dennis Tan spoke about Singapore’s ongoing efforts for its green transition, support for adults with disabilities, healthcare as well as support for seniors. On the green transition of the petrochemicals industry, he asked the government for an update and wanted to know if there are any shifts towards green transition following the sale of Shell’s assets in Pulau Tekong and Jurong Island. On the topic of healthcare, he reiterated his call for the government to consider removing the annual value of property as a means testing criterion for healthcare subsidies, and highlighted the issue of accessibility and affordability of local dental services.
