Budget 2025 debate: Mark Lee on staying fiscally responsible, inclusive and future-ready
A good Budget is not just about numbers on the spreadsheet - it is a statement of our priorities, a reflection of our values and a commitment to our future, said NMP Mark Lee. Speaking in parliament on Thursday (Feb 27), he pointed out that vBudget 2025 checked all the right boxes as it is fiscally responsible, inclusive and future-ready, and is “not just for this year, not just for the next election but for the decades ahead”. Mr Lee said businesses are reassured that the government has their back and noted that it ensures that support is accessible not just to large corporations, but also to small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). He urged the government to continue to collaborate with trade associations and chambers to ensure that SMEs can access the schemes and support that are available.
