Budget 2025: More support for low-income families and persons with disabilities
Singapore will provide more support for low-income families and persons with disabilities to help them achieve stability, self-reliance and mobility. To help low-income families afford their own home, the Fresh Start Housing Scheme grant will be increased from S$50,000 to S$75,000. Meanwhile, to encourage inclusive hiring, the Enabling Employment Credit will be extended until end-2028 to offset wages for persons with disabilities. There will also be increased subsidy rates for adult disability services and a higher maximum qualifying per capita household income for these subsidies. Jeraldine Yap reports.
