Businesses affected by the oil spill could be granted rental deferrals on a case-by-case basis to help with their cash flow. Measures were announced in parliament today to support those facing economic losses. Transport Minister Chee Hong Tat, Sustainability and the Environment Minister Grace Fu and National Development Minister Desmond Lee also delivered ministerial statements and responded to 40 questions filed on the incident. As of 30 June, 1,200 tonnes of oil-soaked sand and debris have been collected -- the bulk sent for treatment and disposal. Charlotte Lim reports.
