Choo Pei Ling on Online Safety (Relief and Accountability) Bill
The measures under the Online Safety (Relief and Accountability) Bill will help to curb many forms of online misconduct and are crucial for building a responsible and healthy online ecosystem, said MP Choo Pei Ling. Speaking in parliament on Wednesday (Nov 5), she voiced support for the plan to progressively expand coverage and wanted to know when other online harms will be included. She hopes that there will be public education and awareness campaigns on the legislation, as well as hotlines or centres where victims can go to for advice and assistance.
