Civil and Muslim marriage registries to return to Canning Rise in 2029 after redevelopment
The Registry of Marriages is set to return to Canning Rise in 2029, following redevelopment. It will be 60% larger and solemnisations can also take place against the natural backdrop of Fort Canning Park. These updates were announced at an event honouring over 180 couples who have been married for more than 50 years. For now, solemnisation ceremonies will continue to take place at the interim site in Esplanade Mall. Nadine Yeam reports.
