01:52 Min
More than 80,000 Singapore citizens and PRs work in sectors where they earn a gross income of under S$1,000 a month. The number doubles with the inclusion of those earning less than S$1,500. MP Gerald Giam asked if there are plans to roll out the Progressive Wage Model (PWM) in these sectors and if so, what the broad timelines are. In Parliament on Tuesday (Mar 2), he also asked how vocational PWM will be implemented across sectors, with the challenge of imposing requirements in the absence of licensing conditions.
