Committee of Supply 2021 debate, Day 3: Jamus Lim on unemployment insurance

The Professional Conversion Programme (PCP), which enables professionals, managers, executives and technicians (PMETs) to make career transitions, will grow in importance in an ever-changing world where job displacements can become pervasive, said MP Jamus Lim in Parliament on Tuesday (Mar 2). As such, he asked if the co-funding support could be made permanent and if the PCP could become an extension of a more holistic unemployment insurance programme.
