Committee of Supply 2021 debate, Day 3: Liang Eng Hwa on COVID-19's surprising upside

COVID-19 has given an unexpected boost to the adoption of digitalisation by businesses and consumers, said MP Liang Eng Hwa in Parliament on Tuesday (Mar 2). He noted that in the annual Budgets of recent years, digitalisation has been among the foremost priority items. Browsing the Infocomm Media Development Authority's website, he found that there is a long list of schemes and support measures with very specific purposes to help small and medium-sized enterprises. He sought an update on the progress so far and asked what further support is in store.
