Committee of Supply 2021 debate, Day 4: Carrie Tan on mental health support in schools

Citing an increase in teen suicides in recent years, MP Carrie Tan in Parliament on Wednesday (Mar 3) raised the issue of mental health among youth, highlighting how stress and confusion brought about by physiological and hormonal changes add to the fray. She pointed out how learning about warning signs and taking action would benefit everyone and asked what the Ministry of Education was doing to strengthen mental health support in schools.
