Committee of Supply 2021 debate, Day 4: Koh Lian Pin on City in Nature, urban planning, EIA framework

Applauding Singapore's green initiatives such as the City in Nature, NMP Koh Lian Pin in Parliament on Wednesday (Mar 3) asked for an update on the progress towards achieving the scheme's targets over the next 10 years, noting how the success of the initiative hinges on both the size and quality of green spaces set aside. He called for more conversations on building Singapore's ecological, climate and socioeconomic resilience. He also proposed that the Government take a more precautionary approach in the Environmental Impact Assessment framework.
