Committee of Supply 2021 debate, Day 4: Shawn Huang on balancing priority between alumni and residents for places in schools

Residents who live near a school of their choice have to compete with alumni members for places in the school in the neighbourhood for their children. MP Shawn Huang, who shared this observation in Parliament on Wednesday (Mar 3), wanted to know how the Ministry of Education balances priority between these two groups. He also asked if there was any ongoing review.
