Households are getting smaller, the population is ageing, while more people are working from home. New solutions are needed to meet these changing needs, said NMP Cheng Hsing Yao. Speaking in Parliament on Thursday (Mar 4), he said while the Housing and Development Board has been proactive in coming up with solutions, he would like to see more private expertise, creativity and capital being tapped to create new housing solutions. He urged the Government to review a number of areas to encourage active and responsible participation by the private sector.
