Committee of Supply 2022 debate, Day 1: Muhamad Faisal Abdul Manap on ‘double taxing’ water usage

01:45 Min

Applying GST to the Water Conservation Tax (WCT) amounts to “double taxation”, which low-income Singaporeans, especially those living in public rental flats, can ill afford. He urged the Government to seriously consider exempting them from paying GST on the WCT.
