Singapore's bilateral ties with its Southeast Asian neighbours as well as their relations with one another are of paramount importance, said MP Henry Kwek in Parliament on Thursday (Mar 3). He said that through ASEAN, the region has maintained peaceful development and acquired the "heft" to deal with major powers. Southeast Asia also remains a key engine of growth for Singapore. With all this in mind, he asked for updates on Singapore's ties with other regional nations.
