Committee of Supply 2022 debate, Day 3: Louis Chua on flexible work arrangements, 4-day work week
Research has shown that flexible work arrangements (FWAs) bring various economic benefits, including increased productivity and innovation, better employee morale, as well as attracting more talent. Making the point in Parliament on Friday (Mar 4), MP Louis Chua cited examples of countries and companies around the globe that have started to implement FWAs and four-day work weeks. He urged Singapore to commit to this new way of work to maintain its attractiveness as a place to work. Mr Chua called on the Government to legislate a baseline level of flexible work, conduct four-day work week pilots and let the Public Service lead the way in implementing FWAs.
